The First Article
Hello There!
Here goes my very first article in this space! (I’m both excited and nervous). :)
So first quarter of this year has ended few days ago. In the last 3 months, work from home situation continued due to Covid-19. In this pandemic, one major thing that everyone realised was, that since we are working in a virtual setup for over a year now, with our in-person interactions becoming lesser and lesser, it is important to find ways to stay motivated and keep the enthusiasm high.
Be it personal or professional goals, it is important to maintain a healthy mindset and make sure that these challenging situations do not hinder our development. There have been so many suggestions on the internet to develop new hobbies and staying creative — from cooking to fitness, writing to gardening, and much more; that people have been trying out to engage themselves.
How is it going for me? — I have also had my highs and lows during this time — and then few days ago, I decided to make some changes to keep myself motivated towards learning and up-skilling myself in the professional world. This brings us to the purpose of starting this blog:
My name is Preeti Shakya. I am a software developer — working majorly in ETL Development. I have over 6 years of work experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence domain. In this blog space, I have decided to write about different topics in DW and BI domain, using the industry knowledge I have gained so far and the new skills that I am exploring.
With that, I would like to close my first article. :) I really look forward to this start and hope to bring knowledge that will benefit others as well.
